HR and employee benefits veteran Steve Herbert has launched a consultancy and training business with a focus on live and digital event presentations.

Herbert is recognised in the industry for his “fun and informative” presentations and media commentary on a wide variety of HR and benefits issues. Recent presentations have covered pensions, employee wellbeing, HR, the economic and political outlook, artificial intelligence and the future of work.

He said: “The employee benefits industry includes some of the best business-to-business presenters across British industry. Yet despite the evident quality of their presentations, many in the industry struggle to populate their events with corporate prospects and clients.

“Our ‘Webinars that Work’ service is designed to combat this problem through a range of practical, proven, and low-cost measures. We aim to help you reach far bigger audiences and deliver events that outperform your peer group time after time,” he added.

With a career spanning decades Herbert was most recently the wellbeing and benefits director at Partners&. Prior to that he was head of benefits strategy at Howden Employee Benefits and Wellbeing, and before that head of benefits at Jelf Group.

In addition to presentation skills training, he will offer support on writing topical articles and website content, research and development, crafting winning award entries and still be open to taking to the stage himself as a keynote speaker.

“After nearly 40 years in the industry, it was time for a bit of a change, and I am confident that my new and low-cost suite of services will be useful to the many intermediaries and insurers who are seeking to improve their brand recognition and also better engage with new corporate prospects and clients at scale,” he said.
