Atradius is giving employees a £2,000 cost-of-living payment, following on from a £1,600 pay-out last October.

The Cardiff, UK-based trade credit insurance company, which employs 426 workers in the UK and Ireland and operates in more than 50 countries, will make the pay awards in four £500 instalments starting this month (April).

Nearly all (99%) of employees will receive the payments, include those on temporary contracts, interns and graduates.

The firm – which also gave most staff members pay rises of between 5% and 11% last month – decided to provide financial support to staff while fuel, food and energy prices continue to soar. Senior managers will not be given the pay-out.

Stuart Ramsden, regional director, said: “Atradius is a brilliant place to work and that’s because of the brilliant team of people that work here, so I’m really pleased we’re able to offer substantial financial support for the second time.

“Our team continues to help our customers through challenging economic times, but we know they may also be affected, so it’s important to us that we regularly evaluate what we can do to support them as the cost of living continues to rise.”

Along with financial support, the company will also continue to provide core benefits, such as 10 times salary life assurance and payment protection of 75% of salary up to state retirement age, as well as voluntary benefits including private healthcare, discounted retail vouchers, childcare vouchers and dental plans.

Ramsden added: “I’d like to sincerely thank everyone for their ongoing commitment to their roles and the wider team, and I hope this payment demonstrates how important every member of the team is to the organisation.”
