Employee benefits app Engage has enhanced its health, wellbeing and financial services offering.

HIVE360, the company behind the service, introduced the changes in a bid to address the main concerns facing workers in the UK today. The new and improved customisable app now includes an extended range of features, resources and benefits.

CEO David McCormack explained the new offering enables people to access more health and financial support than ever before.

He said: “This marks a powerful move forward for HIVE360 and Engage, as we continue to build on our customer experience, data and offerings for all clients, and provides the most needed support to their workforce, both inside and outside the workplace.

“The importance of employee financial wellbeing has never been higher as the cost of living continues to rise yet higher. The app now features an extensive, robust suite of solutions, from debt and money management guidance to payroll information, payslips, health and life insurance, together in one place, and available to users 24/7.”

McCormack highlighted that the app’s mental health and wellbeing services were extended because employees’ physical and mental health and wellbeing are also suffering at the moment.

He added: “Engage supports employee wellness strategies, including integrating several clinically proven counselling approaches to support employees – from everyday mental wellbeing needs to individual critical incident support where necessary. This includes an online GP appointment booking system, and six face-to-face counselling sessions per ‘episode’ for every user, and at no extra cost to the client.”

The improvements also provide insights into employee trends and habits.

McCormack explained: “Employee wellbeing is one of the top challenges for employees. It is closely linked to staff recruitment as well as retention, as well as their levels of productivity and engagement.

“Engage provides anonymised data and insights on the services, benefits and resources their workforce is most often using, to deliver information that can help inform the wider business strategy, employee training and development programmes, comprehensive employee support, and business continuity planning – which is invaluable for employers, HR professionals, and business owners.”

McCormack urged employers looking for cost-effective tools to help their workforces manage spiralling inflation and soaring living costs to find out how employee benefits make a difference. He also believes these would help them “optimise talent attraction and retention strategies”.

Sourcing and supply company The Sante Group is helping HIVE360 deliver the extended features and services via the app.
